  • Idioms to study
    1. Please choose an idiom to study.
      • Alex: "up to speed" 是指最新資訊。
      • Jackson: "up to your easrs" 就是把耳朵張開，意思是說專心的意思。
      • Jerry: miles away是狀況外的意思。
      • Julia: go in one ear and out the other是左耳進右耳出，就是說一個人不專心的意思。
      • David: jump to conclusions就是妄下定論的意思。
      • Eagle: not have a clue就是完全沒有線索，不清楚事情狀況的意思。
      • Timmy: from the horse's mouth是消息來源可靠的意思。
      • Shiny: in black and white是黑白分明的意思。
      • Ellie: get on like a house on fire是一見如故的意思。
      • Ting Ho: a gray area就是灰色地帶，形容兩件事情分不清楚。
      • Andy: break the ice就是破冰的意思。
      • Lawrence: hit it off就是合得來的意思。
    2. Please share the ideas of your understanding about the idiom you chose.
    3. Think of a situation, if possible, that you would use this idioms, when you encounter.

Have you ever read through the book, Extra Credit? It won’t disappoint you.
Lots of my students had read couple chapters of this book. They quite like it.
Actually, it was the assignment during the winter vacation.
Most of them disappointed that they just could read two chapters.
So, go get one! The book doesn’t disappoint young adults like you.
